What is this?
A no-license way to send encrypted text messages off-grid, no cellular.
How?
These radios use free radio frequencies to build what’s call a mesh network. They do all the work, if they can “see” each other, they can be used to build your own private texting network for hiking, camping, hunting, search and rescue, oil and gas, mining, etc. Each radio has a GPS too so you can see where your buddies are in the phone app.
